So this semester at Cornish seems to be going a lot better. I've just finished being sick on and off for 5 weeks which really sucked, but I worked really hard to not fall behind and it paid off in that I totally eliminated the extra stress factor. :) I feel a lot more confident with my designing this semester, which has given me a nice large confidence boost which feels fantastic after a kinda downer first semester at Cornish. So I'm uploading the three illustrations I've done so far for my class Illustration in the Market.. bad news about this semester is I don't have a lot of classes that involve actual designing.. two Art History classes

Okay I have finished my first semester at Cornish. It kind of kicked my butt. After LWTC, I thought I knew everything I needed to know about design! Boy, was I wrong. Which is good and bad; I'm dismayed that I truly know so little but excited to learn more. I will be a junior this fall and have already enrolled in classes; I will be taking two Art History classes, but also two drawing classes: Figure Drawing and Drawing 3, and an Illustration class. I'm excited to go back to the basics; I really miss doing traditional media. It's something I don't really make time for at home anymore. Anyways hopefully this week I will update this page to b

Hey, thanks for faving my photo! And long time no see . . . what have you been up to?
laying low, doing nothing during the summer :P reading some graphic design books before my senior year! and that's about it.

what's up with you? did you pick a barn to ride at?
Sounds nice and chill! I've started leasing Bella and boarding her at KGF, which means I'll be riding in Jill Pierce's program. Kara actually told me not to, so I'm a little apprehensive, but Shannon (who used to ride at Evergreen and owns Bella) works there, which is reassuring. Plus, it's the closest place to get to. I wanted to ride with Meg & Sandy Skafgaard, but they have now moved permanently to Clearview, which is something like a 40-minute drive. :P
Yea, I'm good friends with Shannon, we were roommates at Mt Holyoke for 2 years ;) and rode together at Evergreen before that. She's been working for Jill off and on for a while, but there are some pretty nasty rumors in the H/J world about Jill and her... horses. You can email or fb message me if you want details. KGF is a nice facility, except for the total lack of turn-out, but since Jill doesn't believe in turn-out... I would have picked Hillcrest, I took a lesson with Heidi a few weeks ago and she totally kicked my butt! But in a good way :P But anyway. Let me know which shows you're going to! I'd love to come and see :)
